The Neighsayers - Tuesday 3rd September
Did a few of these daily bets last week and they went okay and clicks were decent enough so will look to do them daily if the racing is there. Been quite average over the last week so that's why there hasn't been any but back today with 2 bets. Just a quick touch as well on the charity bet from the weekend, was great to get the results for a great cause. Wouldn't get used to results like that though, especially if you're new around here!
18:00 Southwell - Able Kane
A horse that has lots of ability and can hopefully now cash in on a significantly lower handicap mark with a few things going in his favour here. He's 13lb below his last winning mark and has looked like winning off the high 70's this year. Main angle here though is the blinkers return, now they did return at Ascot 2 starts back but that was a race dominated by unexposed 3 year olds so I'm happy to let that slide. His last win came when the blinkers were re-fitted along with the tongue tie, but that's not here but for me, the blinkers more essential than the tongue tie.
He was sent off 100/30 fav for a very decent class 3 handicap at Newmarket and he wasn't disgraced as he fluffed the start and was rushed up to lead and that essentially ended his race there but he finished a respectable 4th, but the fact they sent him off that price signals to me he still retains his ability and he'll be winning again soon. Finally, Southwell seems to be riding quite deep at the minute and favouring this racing prominent, Able Kane will go forward along with Gobi Sunset and Bossy Parker, if those two horses are here to put their best foot forward.
Selection - Able Kane 9/2 General - 1pt win
18:45 Newcastle - Simiyann
Liked this run at Chelmsford last time out, front 3 always best positioned to play to course advantages but ran on nicely enough and returns to a distance where he can definitely gain his first win. Likes to come from towards the rear of mid division and there looks as if there could be a generous pace on here to bring this horses chances to the fore. Clockwatcher should race handy, along with Zivaniya with Haveyoumissedme and Magnetic North sat just off them. I'm not a fan of those on the pace here at Newcastle so I think Simiyann is a knocking each way bet, with a great chance of making the frame and a more than fair chance winning this race.
Selection - Simiyann 15/2 Hills, Coral, Lads, 7/1 Bet 365, BF, Paddy - 0.5pt E/W
