The Neighsayers - Tuesday 27th August

The less said about yesterday the better, no qualms in admitting how bad that was. Fariha limited the damage with a place. Not the greatest day's racing here so just the one bet. Hopefully make it count. +3.65pts in the 2 days we've brought in these daily blogs. As mentioned in the WhatsApp group, these will very likely replace the week ahead, I felt that held me back tipping some things on the day as already had those bets to look forward to. Quinny's eye-catchers are staying, he mentioned in the also in the WhatsApp that the horses just haven't been there and won't force them. Anyway, into Tuesday's sole bet.

18:38 Lingfield - Ultramarine

This horse is now more than fairly handicapped returning to an artificial surface where he's a 4 time winner from 15 attempts, along with 2 2nd's and 2 3rd's, so to say he goes on the AW is an understatement. He's held his form pretty well on the turf this summer despite being a 23 race maiden, he's ran over plenty of different trips too, hopefully to get his mark down and today is the day when that all comes together to win, much like Good Earth we tipped up on Saturday.

Prefer to be on the pace again round Lingfield, seems to be a common them these days and this lad will be handy but doesn't have to lead. Pace will likely come from Lady Dreamer, Faster Bee went forward LTO but ran no race so remains to be seen what they do, Serengeti Sunrise should be there about too. Sitting just off those 1 or 2 of those should give us a fair tow into the race and get the head in front.

The Neighsayers - Friday 13th September

  No blog yesterday for the first day of the Leger meeting, mainly due to uncertainty around the ground we were getting. We’re back for day 2 though. 15:00 Doncaster - Big Mojo A lot to like about this horses chance today, starting with the drop back to minimum trip, showed his usual pace at York but failed to stay. Looks to be plenty of pace on in here too with Aesterius drawn on his side and then King’s Call, Zayer and Tropical Storm over the other side. If he sit’s just off these and strikes late he should emulate last year’s success for connections with Big Evs. A somewhat shock winner at Goodwood but should that was no fluke when running a good race at York when not staying as I’ve mentioned.  Selection - Big Mojo 5/2 General - 1pt win 16:10 Doncaster - Beatrice Shilling This favourite, Cabrera has to be taken on for me. The Neighsayers - Thursday 5th September

 Nice to get on the board for September yesterday with Snow Berry winning at 15/2 (or 9/1 if you had the luxury), but with the 2pt bet going down it wasn't as good as we'd hoped for, but profit on the day nevertheless. 17:35 Lingfield - Ormolulu Think this is well worth an each way bet now seeing 7 furlongs for the first time and returning to the all-weather. Dropped down in the handicap considerably this year, beginning on 79 and comes here off 70 with the jockey claiming 3. This is the lowest grade of race she's ever contested too, being a 51-70 and now in a fillies only race that can only be a positive too. The favourite takes up a lot of the market here and he's not guaranteed to get his own way in front this time, with Twilight Dancer and Beveragino in the race and I think he's well worth taking on. She was keen in her 3 year old campaign but the hood seemed to have worked the oracle there and hopefully can continue to do so with the slower tempo of a 6 furlong...
