The Neighsayers - The Week Ahead - Week 27

There was literally no in between last week, the winners gagged up and the losers, well they're all probably still running now. Finished on -2.5pts, frustrating but just need to work harder! Cumulative total of +21.14 points overall. Let's get into this week.

Wednesday

16:30 Lingfield - Big Bug

First nursery bet of the year here and thought this one was fairly priced. Has a few bits and pieces of form that make me think 66 is workable. 2nd to Love Talk at Redcar who came 4th in a French listed race. 3rd behind Englemere rated 86. 3rd again behind Betty Clover R90 and Englemere again R86, Infront of Flicka's Girl R77. Best performance was 6 furlongs soft ground, returns to that here and can overturn the form with the favourite, Forever My Prince.

18:10 Kempton - Tambourine Dream

Whilst the favourite did well last time to force a dead heat, if the other jockey had kept riding the horse out he'd not have been close, so think he's a loser carrying a penalty here. Happy to take him on. Plenty to work with for the selection now handicapping. In all 3 qualifying runs, this horse has seen the whip once and even that was a tame effort. Does have form with Icecap from her 2nd and 3rd runs but think this selection has more scope now handicapping. 3rd run seemed one with an eye toward handicaps and hopefully that'll put her spot on for this.

Thursday

20:10 Newbury - Double Jump

Seems to love the softer going which he should get here, had an impossible task at Chester and the track probably slightly against him too. Back on a stiffer track down in grade he could take a lot of beating here.

Friday

16:00 Ascot - Molten Rock

Hasn't discredited herself at all in pattern company in 3 starts this year, when the ground has been against her for 2 of them runs. She loves it soft and if the conditions remain soft, she has to be bet. Will update in the Whatsapp.

19:50 Chester - Dream Harder

Yet again this horse caught the eye last time out. Hopefully the drop in trip and first time head gear can help him finish his race off strongly and finally get his head in front.

Saturday

Can't see a bet this far out.

Sunday

No flat racing, ew.

Monday

20:10 Wolves - Alcazan

Won & placed off higher marks than this and in higher grades. Returns to class 5 company on the all weather with a competent young claimer taking 5 off. Should be handy in running, seems to be the place to be at Wolves currently.
