The Neighsayers - 2 for Royal Ascot
Just a few weeks away now from Royal Ascot and Elliot has had a look into two races at the festival and found two bets he's backing antepost.
Hardwicke Stakes
Think this can be a nice starting point for the Aidan O’Brien trained CONTINUOUS, this race was highlighted for him by Aidan at the beginning of the season and despite him holding other entries at the royal meeting I’m fairly certain this will be where he goes. The race certainly doesn’t look the strongest renewal even at this stage nevermind once it inevitably cuts up.
He quickly progressed into a top level middle distance horse last season winning the Great Voltigeur and the St.Leger before in my opinion a career best when 5th in the Arc, that piece of form is arguably the best of any in this race and a reproduction would surely see him win this. The general 3/1 is a very fair price in my opinion could easily see him going off 11/8 6/4 on the day.
Continuous 3/1 - (Sky bet, Betfair, Paddy Power)
Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes
The British 6f older horses is a division that is absolutely desperate this season, it is crying out for a horse to step up and I think MILL STREAM can be the one. Coming into this off the back of a career best last time out at York where he overcame lots of trouble in running in a messy race to get up in a photo to the Duke of York, he was value for more than the winning distance suggested.
This race is looking to be a very poor renewal, the current fav Kinross was only 7th in the race last season would need it soft to be a danger and the bulk of the other UK trained runners have already finished in behind Mill Stream this season. He is the most progressive horse in the race and a bet for me at the current 6/1 available.
Mill Stream 6/1 - (Bet 365, Coral, Ladbrokes, Betfair, Paddy Power)
