The Neighsayers - The Week Ahead 16/1/24

We’re back with another The Week Ahead here and hopefully we can endure the same success as the previous week.

Wednesday

20:00 Kempton - David’s Diva

Won pretty easily last time out, form boosted since with the 2nd winning so could be value for more than a 5lb rise. Race looks modest, slight concern about leader getting free but she travelled well enough last time to suggest should be able to eat up any ground.

Thursday

18:30 Southwell - Cavern Club

Unexposed on AW with form reading 1,3 and race doesn’t look like it’ll be run at much of a tempo. Should be sat just behind the leaders and finish well over the trip.

Friday

12:30 Wolves - Carey Street

Shower plenty on Monday night against John Butler bingo, been in good form which is crucial for a mare at this time of year and she gets on with H Doyle well (currently Jocked on)

17:15 Newcastle - Catrake Force

Showed a decent bit on debut, buried 2nd run and then strangled on 3rd run for a mark, usually a prominent racer they restrained it and wasn’t seen to best affect. Mark of 60 is workable. (Has 2 entries this day)

18:15 Newcastle - Moon Flight

Didn’t think this horse was a sprinter, but I’ve been proved very, very wrong. Ran a great race in class 3 company for some very good price money. Big drop in grade here and should go close.

Saturday

19:00 Wolves - Taxiing

Those in the WhatsApp will have loved this ride from Rossa today and we’re certain that’s not this horses limits. If declared we’ll be betting.

Sunday

19:15 Chelmsford - Rocking Ends

Front runner through and through, will be looking to bet if it gets it easy in front. Will

Update after declarations.

Monday

15:00 Kempton - Cloud Cover

Still progressive on the AW as highlighted my Quinny back in the summer last year. Can resume that progress in a weaker race.
