The Neighsayers - Floodlit Friday Week 13
After a blank week last week, we’re hoping to get back in the saddle and continue the form of the other series that we do. Limited action again but hopeful of our two chances here, let’s get into it.
16:20 Lingfield - 1M 4F handicap
STOPNSEARCH returned to a mile and a half last time and that produced a much needed return to form. He just found himself held up in a race that paid to be prominent. I can see two in here (Atwixadaay and Iftikhaar) who have raced prominently before and then also Savoy Brown and The Resdev Way inconsistently have done so too, so between them there should be a bit of pace on which can bring the selection into the race more than the last day.
He’s extremely well handicapped on his old form, he last won off 72 (disqualified that day) and then he last made the from off 65. He runs here off 51 and having shown signs of a revival i rate him a solid selection.
Selection - Stopnsearch (11/2 William Hill, 5/1 General)
17:15 Wolverhampton - 7F 36Y
Slightly more speculative one but trainer has had his horse running well. 3 winners within the last fortnight and plenty of placed efforts at un-fancied prices.
PEMBROKESHIRE for the Ian Jardine yard has been tried over a few trips but now returns to a trip where he last won and should have a good chance to do so again here. Win Win Power takes the top of the market but I’m not sure about him at this trip. Ring of Gold should need more pace to aim at and Dakota Power hard to win with.
When trying, PEMBROKESHIRE has often gone forward to me prominent and this race lacks pace, so it would seem an ideal opportunity to do that. I’m sure the market will tell us before the off if we’re on the right one or not but I’m willing to take the chance.
Selection - Pembrokeshire (6/1 Bet365, 11/2 General)
