The Neighsayers - Weekly Eye-Catchers 11th - 17th December 2023
Weekly Eye-Catcher’s 11th – 17th December 2023
12th December – 1:00 Punchestown
Littlebiggie
Set decent fractions Infront, jumping progressively got better and was there out in front for a long way. Would like to see this one being dropped to the bare 2m. think hes got a good level of ability.
12th December – 6:00 Southwell
Danielle
Won’t have been missed due to the madly impressive winner. Danielle had to come from last, over an inadequate trip on debut, was one of the first off, the bridle but picked up very well late to press for 2nd. I would recommend backing her once she goes up in trip, 1m2f would be more suitable. May be put away for next year.
13th December – 1:20 Exeter
Sammy’s Guarantee
Tanked out the back for a mark, ran up the back of horses to stop progress into the races. Will hopefully get a mark now, Id say anything less than 100 would be more than workable. Shown glimpses. Follow into handicaps.
13th December – 3:30 Lingfield
Tribal Wisdom
Dropped stones in the weights since joining Ian Williams and ran with promise here on first try at 10f for New yard. Travelled well in mid div, messy race on the bend and was shuffled around, got a run and was pushed out hands and heels for a well beaten but running on 4th. Bounced back to form with that and ill look to keep him onside over 9f-10f
15th December – 6:00 Southwell
Embroidered Cloth
Shown glimpses of ability on first 2 runs but stunk the gaff out here after being a very large drifter. Tapped for toe early, made some headway but ultimately was v poor. Should get a mark now, and id be shocked if he isn’t nicely handicapped. I’d like to see the Hood removed and maybe going up to 6f+
16th December – 5:15 Newcastle
Ledger
Still think this one is nicely handicapped. Was in a nice pozzy but was allowed to drop back through the field at crucial stage of race, ran on late for never nearer 5th. I think this one loves a few cracks of the whip, so to see him running well enough in a hands and heels race was encouraging. I’d be very keen on him next time out at Newcastle over 1m.
16th December – 6:00 Wolverhampton
Body Parts
Blatant as u like stop job. tanked out the back, no assistance in the saddle to make any ground, wasn’t unspotted by others tho. Doubt this will get a mark after this run, id advise a watching brief if so and follow her into handicaps off marks in and around 60.
