The Neighsayers - Floodlit Fridays Week 3
Floodlit Friday Week 3
6:15 Newcastle – 7F Handicap
12 runners go to post here, and I have been eagerly anticipating ROGUE FORCE return back to an AW surface since he has move to Mike Smith. Obviously huge trainer downgrade from Tom Clover, but every horse has its mark and ROGUE FORCE is now 15lb lower than his last good AW run and 20lb lower than his last AW win, putting him on a very tempting mark on his return to the AW.
I feel this has been a cunning plan for a while now in the attempt of a monthly ARC AW bonus surge. PJ takes the ride what’s a positive over normal stable jockey, and hes got a nice middle draw so he can put him where he likes. Hopefully hes ridden in midfield as I feel there isn’t much pace on here and wouldn’t want to be at risk to a potential pace bias.
He is too well handicapped to ignore on his AW return and he should be backed EW in my opinion.
Selection – Rogue Force 10/1 EW (10/1 365 , 7/1 Paddy Power)
7:00 Dundalk – 1M Handicap
Full complement here and I will be weighing in with Week 1s selection of PIEREE LAPIN, who did run as expected in his last race but was caught too far back with the 1st and 2nd being handy. The form of the race is working out well also, with the 4th bolting up last week at Dundalk, giving me more confidence on PIERRE LAPIN for this race.
Hes now on a mark of 75, what on last year’s Dundalk form puts him nicely well in here. Hes drawn in 8 but can see him being dropped in and ridden cold again. Looks like abit of pace on here with Punk Poet, Free Solo and Machnamn all wanting a piece early, what should play into our lads hands. Can see him going very well here, shouldn’t really be out the places.
Selection – Pierre Lapin 12/1 EW (general)
