The Neighsayers - Cheltenham Challenge #2
After deciding against doing this competition weekly, simply due to the sheer number of selections that would be, we're back with the 2nd blog in this series with selections to come again from Elliot, Swanny and Blackie. Let's see what they've got to offer.

Three Card Brag - Brown Advisory
My 2nd antepost Horse for the festival is one of my NH horses to follow this season. Three Card Brag novice season over hurdles saw him pick up 2 races before finishing 5th & 6th respectably at the Cheltenham & Punchestown festivals.
An encouraging season, what he did over hurdles was a bonus for Gordon Elliot, who has stated numerous times this horse is an Out n Out Chaser. This horse will relish the staying distances, and I’m really excited to see him re-appear this season. 40/1 is a massive price at this stage for the Brown Advisory, and is something I can get behind as being this horses main aim come march.
Selection - Three Card Brag (40/1 Bet365, Betfair, Sky Bet, BoyleSports)

Down Memory Lane - Ballymore Novices Hurdle
The Novice Hurdle divisions look wide open this season with no early standout contenders emerging in this sphere. For this reason I’m willing to chance my hand with an unexposed inmate of Gordon Elliott’s by the name of Down Memory Lane. Unbeaten in a P2P and Bumper, he made his hurdles debut at prohibitive odds of 2/7 at Down Royal on the 11th November. Despite this being an admittedly weak contest the way he travelled through the race would impress even the harshest of critics landing the odds without coming off of the bridle and cruising to a most impressive victory.
Gordon Elliott has started the campaign in flying form and he looks to have found another top prospect in the unmistakable silks of JP McManus. This fella strikes me as the type to be even more suited by taking on a stronger calibre of opposition and I will be wholly optimistic of him improving further and justifying my faith when Inevitably upped to graded company next time out. A P2P winner over 3 miles, the intermediate trip of the Ballymore could perfect for this son of Walk in the Park who’s innate speed was demonstrated when scoring in his Maiden Hurdle over 2m and 1f.
Despite being entered over 2 miles at Christmas, I still believe this will be his most likely destination by the end of the season and with odds of 16/1 currently available I am willing to take my chance that he will take extremely high ranking in the Novice division come March.
Selection - Down Memory Lane 16/1 (General)

My second selection for the Cheltenham Challenge is Nicky Henderson’s Jango Baie for the supreme.
He pulled like a train and on hurdles debut doing everything wrong yet still managed to find enough to see off a very decent horse in Tellherthename. The early crawl definitely didn’t suit so a well run supreme would be right up his street. I also found it interesting Nico went down to Ascot to ride this in a maiden hurdle rather than Luccia in the mares race at Wetherby on the same day indicating they must think a bit of him. Tellherthename has since boosted the form absolutely hosing up at Huntingdon on Saturday.
With that form now looking decent I expected Jango Baie to be a 20/1 shot or shorter so the 33s widely available is very fair. If he can learn to settle and brush up on his jumping he will be going off a lot shorter on the day as this horse definitely has the engine there.
Selection - Jango Baie 33/1 General
